Let's monetize your blog.

I would like to share with you the most effective ways of making money with a blog. So, it would be better to concentrate on considering how to attract a lot of readers and to make money from them.

Here are some successful bloggers that earn more than $100,000 a year :

There are other bloggers who earn multimillion dollars from their blogs such as Huffpost, Engadget, Copyblogger etc. But, as a beginner, how about you aim to get the first $50,000 from your blog in a year.

What niche do you want to choose?

Firstly, what would you like to talk about?

Choose one niche that would motivate you to make at least three posts per week. You can update your blog daily but you should aim for quality over quantity.

There are so many niches you can choose such as technology, food, fashion, parenting, investment, health, personal, pet, vehicle, travelling, planting, etc.

You should make it specific about your niche. If you choose technology, you should pick a smaller niche such as smartphone or camera. If you choose smartphone, you should focus on another smaller niche such as 5G phone, or phone's accessories, or pick only one brand phone (iPhone, Samsung, Sony, Oppo, Xiaomi, etc).

If you don't want to pick a specific niche, I suggest you to make a personal blog. In personal blog niche, you can write about your life, work, home, family, friends, etc. You can also share your opinions about any products or services in your blog.

After you decided what niche to choose, it's time for blogging.

How to monetize your blog?

3 basic ways of monetizing your blog.

1. Selling

You can sell a physical product or digital product.

Physical product is like a smartphone, powerbank, earphones, shirt, soap, shoes, etc.

Digital product can be an e-book, app, online course, webinar, audio, video, etc.

What if you don't have your own products?

You can sell someone else's products on your site as an affiliate or dropship. You don't need to worry about the shipping, because it will be handled by the company which sells the products through the affiliate program or dropship program.

What is the difference between affiliate and dropship?

You get paid from affiliate when someone click on your affiliate link and make a purchase.

If you choose affiliate marketing, you should register any of these :

Dropship is when someone buys from you at high price, you buy from the supplier at low price and the supplier will pack and deliver the goods to your customers using your name as the shipper.

High price - low price = your profit

If you choose dropship program to monetize your blog, check these out :

You can also provide services to your client. But, not all services can be done entirely online.

The services that could be done entirely online are ghostwriting, copywriting, proofreading, graphics design, programming and etc.

The services that cannot be done entirely online are cleaning, plumber, car wash, babysitter, cat keeper, electrician and etc.

Additionally, you can sell your blog. Your blog price would be based on the revenue per year.

For example if your blog get $1000 from Adsense per month, your blog price is $1000 × 12 = $12,000.

The price of your blog could be lower or higher. It's up to you.

If you decides to sell your blog, you can sell it on marketplace such as flippa, empireflippers, or sell it by yourself without any online marketplace. Again, it's up to you.
